  • Doug Besterman is a three-time Tony Award-winning orchestrator, arranger, and composer. His Broadway credits include The Producers, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Fosse, Young Frankenstein, Sister Act, Elf, Bullets Over Broadway, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, A Bronx Tale, It Shoulda Been You, SMASH, BOOP!, and Death Becomes Her. He has been nominated for six Tony Awards and received multiple Drama Desk nominations and wins.

    His work extends to international productions of Anastasia, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Rocky, and Tarzan. In film and television, his orchestrations have appeared in Mary Poppins Returns, Frozen, Chicago, Aladdin, and NBC’s The Sound of Music Live!, as well as the Apple TV+ series Schmigadoon, which earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

    Besterman has arranged and orchestrated for recording artists including Barbra Streisand, Beyoncé, Kristin Chenoweth, Hugh Jackman, and Barry Manilow. His work has been featured in concerts, albums, and televised performances.

    As a composer, he has contributed music to the musicals Breathe, Little Did I Know, The Big One-Oh, and Crumbs. He continues to work in theater, film, television, and recording.

  • David Chase is one of the most respected and experienced Music Directors and Arrangers working today, with over 40 Broadway shows to his credit. He specializes in working with writers, directors, actors, and choreographers on all aspects of musical story-telling.

    For television, he pioneered the return of live musicals, garnering Emmy nominations for Music Direction for both Sound of Music Live! and Peter Pan Live!  He was Music Director and co-arranger (with Doug Besterman) for both seasons of Schmigadoon! (which included the 2022 Emmy-winning song “Corn Puddin’”)

    He was primary arranger and orchestrator for 3 seasons of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (including 2019 Best Song and Choreography Emmy winner “Antidepressants Are So Not a Big Deal”) and 3 seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (including 2023 Best Song Emmy nominee “Your Personal Trash Can Man”).  David appeared onscreen in Season 5 of Maisel as the bandleader and announcer for ‘The Gordon Ford Show’.  Additional TV  credits include Ètoile, American Classic, Love and Death, Goliath, The Gilded Age, Futureman, Halston, and many others.

    Film credits include conducting the score for The Last Showgirl, being Recording Score Supervisor for Highest 2 Lowest, and contributing arrangements and orchestrations for Joker 2: Folie à Deux, Beyond the Sea, and The Bride!.

    He is equally at home in a Broadway pit, a soundstage, a recording studio, and in front of an opera house orchestra. He has arranged regularly for the Kennedy Center Honors, the Boston Pops (including perennial favorite “The 12 Days of Christmas”), and for Radio City Music Hall, where he also served as Music Director for 5 years. His choral music has been featured on an NPR “Tiny Desk” concert and is published by Hal Leonard.

    From development to the recording studio to set to the dub stage, he never sacrifices the creative process or the end product while still keeping projects in line logistically and financially.  Scott's produced over a dozen cast recordings for Tony- and Grammy-winning Broadway productions.  In the studio Scott has coaxed and shaped performances with a diverse pool of talent, from veteran recording artists to actors stepping in front of the mic for the very first time.

    Over the years, he's had the pleasure of working with artists such as Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Harry Connick, Jr., Keegan-Micheal Key, Bette Midler, Boyz II Men, Joe and Nick Jonas, Dove Cameron, Henry Winkler, Anjelica Huston, Jessie J, Jane Krakowski, Martin Short, Sarah Jessica Parker, Tituss Burgess, Uma Thurman, Bernadette Peters, Liza Minnelli and more.
